“The Cy-Fair area has exploded with new homes in the past few years,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows Inc., producer of the annual home and garden show. “We’re pleased to bring those homeowners an opportunity to find what they need to add personal touches to their new homes, as well as providing the many long-time residents of the area the products and experts necessary to help them update and refresh their older homes.”
Those wishing to add curb appeal, green space or even an outdoor kitchen will have an opportunity to see some examples and talk to the experts about their specific plans.
At the show, Turf Plus Management, which provides landscape management and landscape construction, will team up with Belgard, an outdoor designer and manufacturer of pavers, to build an arbor as well as construct the show’s Outdoor Cooking Stage.
The Outdoor Cooking Stage will feature Molly Fowler, The Dining Diva, who will be joined by chefs from the Berry Center. Next to the cooking stage, show-goers will be able to see and feel Belgard’s selection of pavers in its Belgard Pavers Mobile Display, a semi-truck loaded with the company’s Outdoor Living Ideas.
For custom updates inside the home, Mary Scalli, founder of Houston-based Simple Elegance and an expert in home décor and staging, will present Hunter-Douglas’ latest trends in window fashions and treatments. Combining elegance with energy efficiency, Scalli will provide a demonstration on today’s automated products that can provide protection against heat loss or minimize solar heat by adjusting window coverage with either the push of a button or automatic programming.
