Over 200 design and renovation experts will be on hand to provide home improvement guidance
CYPRESS, Texas – The Cy-Fair Home & Garden Show will be held Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18 and 19, at the Berry Center, located at 8877 Barker Cypress in Cypress, Texas.
“To celebrate 10 years in Cypress, every 10th person attending the show will be admitted for free,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows Inc., producer of the Cy-Fair Home & Garden Show. “And this year’s show promises to have something for everyone, whether they are just beginning or in the final stages of a home renovation or improvement project.”
Homeowners will have an opportunity to learn from experts who specialize in projects ranging from interior color to new kitchens and baths and exterior color to amazing outdoor living and gardening spaces.
If a new bath tops your wish list, NewLuxe Bath Glass specialists will be available to provide guidance on bath renovations. As an added incentive, show-goers will have an opportunity to enter for a $10,000 Bathroom Makeover Giveaway from the company. In addition, the Bath Hardware Showcase by MIB Remodeling will feature experts, information and products by fixture manufacturers including Kohler and Delta Faucet.
A popular bath update, the Kohler Poplin Vanity can be installed as a single element or combined to customize a room of any size. See this and other Kohler and Delta products at the Cy-Fair Home & Garden Show’s Bath Hardware Showcase by MIB Remodeling.
Because the popularity of outdoor living continues to grow, homeowners will have an opportunity to learn about the latest in brickwork, outdoor kitchens and fire pits at the show’s Belgard Outdoor Living Area by Turf Plus Management. And those looking to green up their indoor and outdoor spaces will appreciate the selection and variety of live plants at the RCW Nurseries In-Show Garden Market.
Among the speakers scheduled to appear at the 2017 show are Dr. Lori Verderame, TV personality, author and antiques appraiser, who joins the Cy-Fair Show lineup to discuss antiques and their values as well as provide tips on buying and selling these collectable items; a Sherwin-Williams Certified Color Consultant will take the stage each day of the show to demonstrate the company’s ColorSnap Selection System; Randy Lemmon, host of GardenLine on KTRH AM 740. Ted Ritts of the new pool construction department at The Pool Man, will discuss outdoor gardening and recreational pursuits; Bill Murphy, a Solar Energy Expert and manager of Sweetwater Energy Services will share his alternative energy expertise; and Judson Crowder, professional organizer and owner of Restorganize, will lead an “Ask the Organizer” question and answer session twice daily throughout the show.
“The Farmers Market at Bridgeland’s special home and garden edition will join the show on both days this year,” Wood said. “And local HEB Cooking Connection chefs will man the HEB Cooking Stage to provide demonstrations of some of their favorite recipes and a free sample of the finished product – while supplies last. We will also have food trucks, including Cousins Maine Lobster, set up outside the show to provide an outdoor dining experience for those who desire something a little different.”
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19. Tickets for the Cy-Fair Home & Garden Show are cash only at $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and children 12 years and younger can attend for free. Participants of the nearby Cy-Fair Independent School District’s Superintendent Fun Run can receive $2 off the entry fee by showing their Fun Run wrist band at the door. The Berry Center has acres of parking available at no cost.
