Ed Mattingly

Ed Mattingly has been involved with faux finishes and decorative painting techniques since 1978.  Ed is renowned for his unique wall solutions and designs.  Over the years he and his teams created 1,000’s of custom designs and installed over 5,000,000 sq. ft. of decorative wall finishes. His signature “Incredible Walls” are found coast to coast in high-end residential and commercial settings. both directly to the wall and on hand-painted wallcovering.

His work has been featured in multiple shelter publications including Architectural Digest, Interior Design Magazine, Traditional Home and Metropolitan Home  magazines, on HGTV “New Spaces, “ in the L.A. Mart West Edge Spaces, the Merchandise Mart Dream Homes and in the upcoming book by Michael Payne of Designing for the Sexes, “The House of Payne.” You can also see Ed’s designs in a newly released wallcovering books by York called, “The Perfect Faux” and “Affinity.”

In the paint manufacturing industry Ed’s is known for his innovative product designs and installation processes.  Over the past 15 years, he has shared his knowledge and experiences through 100’s of educational seminars and hands-on sessions nationwide, as well as countless columns and articles for trade publications.

Ed was an active member of ASID and The Color Marketing Group.  He was awarded the ASID National Merit Award, the highest honor bestowed by ASID on an Industry Partner as well as the Spirit Award for his non profit work for Designs for Dignity.
